How to connect a WooCommerce shop

Create keys in WooCommerce

You need a login to the WordPress admin with permission to change WooCommerce settings.

1. 1 In the WordPress admin, open WooCommerce › Settings › Advanced › REST API.
2. 2 Press “Add key”.
3. 3 Enter a name for the key and choose the “Read/Write” permissions.
4. 4 Copy the “Consumer Key” and the “Consumer Secret”. WooCommerce shows the “Consumer Secret” only once.

Enter the keys in Prekio

1. 1 In the “Settings” menu section, open “Integrations”.
2. 2 On the “WordPress / WooCommerce” card, press “Configure”.
3. 3 Press the gear button (“API configuration”).
4. 4 Enter the “Website URL” (for example https://your-shop.com), the “Consumer Key” and the “Consumer Secret”.
5. 5 Press “Save”.
6. 6 Press “Test connection”.

“Test connection” checks the details that are already saved. Thus, press “Save” first. Only an administrator can save the details.

Optional: the photo library

In the same window you can also fill in the “WordPress user” and “Application Password” fields. Then Prekio recognizes the photos already in your shop and does not upload them a second time. You create the “Application Password” in the WordPress admin: Users › Profile › Application Passwords.

How orders arrive

New and changed orders arrive by themselves every 15 minutes. If you do not want to wait, choose a period on the “Get orders” card and press “Get”. The default period is “Last 7 days”.

Prekio does not bring in unpaid orders: drafts, orders waiting for payment, failed orders and orders in the trash. Prekio does not create orders older than 30 days or orders that are already canceled. If Prekio already has an order, changes to it still arrive.

The “Include old and canceled orders” box is only for a one-time move of your history. If you include old paid orders, Prekio takes their goods out of stock a second time.

If your shop already has products

Before you send products from Prekio, link the products that are already in your shop. Then Prekio updates the same shop product and does not create a new one.

1. 1 On the WooCommerce page, open the “Import” tab.
2. 2 For each product, Prekio suggests a match by product code. If the match is correct, press “Confirm”. If not, find the product with the search or press “Skip”.
3. 3 Link a product with variants to a Prekio product with variants. Prekio links its variants by code.

Linking changes nothing in the shop at once. With the next send, Prekio updates the same shop product with its own data. If the page shows “No active WooCommerce channel”, write to us.

How products reach the shop

When you create a new product, tick “Shop” under “Where will we sell?”. For a product you already have, open its page. In the “Marketplaces” row, press the name of the shop. Switch on “Sell – …” and press “Save”.

The “Send products” card sends at once the changed products that have the shop switched on. Prekio sends stock to the shop every hour and each time you save a product.
